Rubix Cube Solution - THE SIDE BIT

So, you've solved the top side and managed to get the colored blocks in their right place around the top side. Now you have to place those pesky little middle bits at each side. Here's a nice easy example, picture by picture of how you can do this.

As you can see, we're going to move the blue/orange block up to its rightfull place in the middle side slot. First off, twist the bottom section one place to the left as shown by the arrow above.

Your blue/orange block (yes it is orange and not red - I can do the rubix cube, not take good color photos) is now a bit further away from it's choice location, but don't worry there is a plan to this madness. Twist down the side as shown one place.

We now have a strip of white on the side that came from the completed top. We have to mess it up for a while, but all in a good cause. Next twist the bottom one turn to the right as shown above.

OK, we've lost one of our precious white bits but we'll but it back soon, promise :-) Next up is to rotate the two remaining white blocks back up to the top place where they belong as shown with the arrow above.

Now we want to do some very clever positioning work, so twist the bottom section one place to the right, moving that lone white chunk around the corner as shown above.

Right, it's now time to go and collect our little lost white block. Firstly move down the two white ones on top by twisting in the section shown above. Guess what comes next....

You guessed it! Twist the bottom section back to the left so the little lost white is lost no more.

We have reached the final move in our master plan. Twist the three white block back up to bring the top section back to completion and....

Yipeee!!! The middle section now has that blue/orange (I know, I know it looks yellow, I think I need a new camera) block in place, without messing up our beloved top section.

I find it a lot easier to solve just one little bit at a time rather than going insane trying to work out the whole cube in one hit. I've now put up the whole solution that breaks it down into those nice easy steps with pictures Find It Here!

How To Solve Rubics Cube

If you don’t know how to solve rubics cube , then don’t despair, there may be another way to solve it. First, climb into your attic and dig out that big box of lego bricks you have tucked away and bring it down. Now, build yourself a robot to solve the rubics cube!

What? Well, its not quite that straight forward, but yes you can now with a good set of instructions and some extra bits of techy kit and the more modern lego pieces you can build a robot out of lego and use it to solve the cube. Building robots in general to solve the cube with lego or more normal construction items like metal arms and screws are the big craze at the moment with robot builders and tech heads.

Check out this video and let a robot show you how to solve rubics cube. Batteries not included.
